My boyfriend Chris is a big South Park and The Family Guy fan. One of the great things about our relationship is that we have similar senses of humor so we tend to laugh at some of the same things. Well not always. I tend to think that South Park is definitely geared towards the male audience b/c there are just some episodes we watch where he is dying in his chair and I am just rolling my eyes at what we’re watching…not really sharing in the humor like he is.
But there are a few things I’ve which have had me laughing out loud and here is one of them: http://youtube.com/watch?v=6IfH6dYZLzE
All I can say is: ‘would you like an apple pie with that?’
Uploaded pics from Danielle and Justin’s wedding on June 30th, 2007 at the Century House. The day was a complete whirlwind so time flew. Rich & Shiela flew in from Wisconsin which was awesome because I haven’t seen them in years! So all the family was there and everyone was having fun hanging out, watching the happy couple and cutting a rug or two.

This week was pretty lousy. This past week I went with Chris’s family to euthanize his dog, Gavin. It was horrible and so sad. Everyone was there to say goodbye and send him off with love. Even now my eyes tear up because I do miss his cute little face.
Gavin was 12 had been sick for months now with a
huge tumor on his leg which was not going to get any better. His leg was good sometimes and bad others but he was such a good boy. The last time we went to the vet they gave us that ‘lamp shade’ device to keep them from licking and further aggravating their injuries. He was hopping around on 3 legs with that thing around his neck and he couldn’t look any cuter. Even though you knew it was bugging him, you could always count on him to hop along to the kitchen when he heard the sound of the refrigerator door open. It was cute and funny. Oh I do miss him….
You would think that an easy part of creating a web site would be coming up with the domain name, right? Perhaps if you already have a business it is easier. ‘Mystore.com’ You can hyphenate the name or add words after the name of your business then .com. I think the real hurdle is picking a personal domain name that you just pick out of nowhere. A normal person might pick their name.com. But no. Not good enough for me. I wanted it to be a little more creative. But oh my god! Practically every variation of any word combination domain names have been taken. It’s insane. Some of them are funny, but yes, it’s insane.
You’d never guess at the different domains names I plugged in and you’d be surprised at the ones that were taken! I tend to like the domain names that use color in the name - redenvelope.com, bluenile, bluefly, etc. I tried to include a color that I liked with some of my personal interests. As you can see from my very own domain name, I found one that wasn’t taken but the road to getting there was long and frustrating.
Here are the domains I searched for and yes, they were all taken:
blueshoe, bluestar, bluefountain, blueice, bluecafe, bluevino, bluenoir, bluechic, bluemartini [I thought this was clever - doh!], bluesushi, bluekimono, bluetea [does anyone see an Asian theme here?
] etc… What I’d like to know is - who are these people?!
As you can see, it seems, any color with any noun…it’s going to be taken…oh yes especially anything in shades of blue. So be sure to add in some major search time in regards to coming up with a domain name if you’re trying to be one of those ‘creative types’.
So here it is….ok…what do we chat about now then?
My friend George tells me that I should have a blog on my web site. Why? I don’t know. It’s not like I am going to have some major earth shattering topics to discuss. Maybe talk about some hot gossip from People magazine. Woo hoo! I have to confess. Yes, I read People. More importantly though….I have a subscription!
This blog will be just my way of keeping in touch with friends and family. Everyone will know what crazy insane thoughts are running through my head. This will be the definitive answer to the age-old question:
“is she out of her friggin mind?”
Gotta love it.
